Currently £145.50 for a colour TV annually, Britain's TV License Fee is a fee towards the government to help pay for Public Service Television, such as the BBC. Curiously, a £49 fee still exists for black and white only televisions. There are discounts available under various circumstances; for example, people 75 and older do not have to pay a TV licence at all.
